Porter and delivery API integration for your website
Your customer sees the delivery price at checkout, a rider is booked when the order lands, and a tracking link goes out on its own.
Price at checkout
The delivery charge is fetched live for each address, so you stop guessing a flat fee and losing money on far orders.
Rider booked automatically
When an order is paid, the booking goes to the delivery company without anyone copying an address into an app.
Tracking without phone calls
Your customer gets the tracking link, and status updates such as accepted, picked up and delivered flow back into your orders.
Which delivery companies can connect
Porter offers an API for businesses with order booking, a tracking API and webhooks for each stage of the trip. It is for deliveries inside a city, in the cities Porter serves.
Shiprocket gives every account an API user from its settings page, and its Quick service routes local deliveries through partner fleets.
Uber Direct reaches Indian businesses through ONDC, live in Bengaluru since December 2025. Rapido had no public business API when we last checked.
How a project runs
You open your business account with the delivery company. We connect it to your website, whether it runs on Shopify, WooCommerce or custom code, then test with real orders in your city before your customers see it.
Asked often
Straight answers
Do I need a partnership with Porter or Shiprocket first?
No. You open your own business account with the delivery company, the same way any business does, and the API keys belong to you. We connect those keys to your website. Porter says its Enterprise account is free and takes one business day to activate with a work email, phone number and GST certificate or business PAN.
Can I connect Rapido or Uber?
As of October 2026 we found no public business API from Rapido. Uber Direct runs in India through ONDC, and only in Bengaluru so far. Porter and Shiprocket are the practical choices today, and we check again before every build.
Does it work with cash on delivery?
Porter says orders booked through its API must be prepaid. If you need cash on delivery, we check which partner supports it for your city before building, or keep those orders manual.
What can Porter deliver through the API?
Porter says its API currently books two-wheeler orders only, each with one pickup and one drop. Bigger loads that need a van or tempo are booked in the Porter app for now.
How much does it cost?
The delivery charges go straight from you to the delivery company. Our part, the integration, is quoted after a short call about your website, your city and how many orders you send, and the price is fixed in writing before work starts.
